John Lessick, President
In the summer of 1985, John Lessick joined APEX Wood Floors as an apprentice. He spent the next nine years learning every facet of the business before purchasing the company in 1994. Over that period, John developed a profound respect for wood’s natural beauty and achieved a masterful command of the complete finishing, production and installation process. Thanks to his expertise and vision, the business has blossomed and evolved, growing from 5 to nearly 25 employees over the last 25 years.
At APEX John works closely with our in-house artisans and craftsmen, and with top architects, designers and builders across the country as well as internationally, to design and create the distinctive, custom handcrafted floors for which APEX is known.
John is the past chairman of the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) and is an industry partner of the American Society of Interior Designers, Illinois Chapter (ASID-IL). He lives in Wheaton, Illinois with his wife, Theresa, and their 3 children. Their family is active in their church, Highpoint located in Naperville, Illinois where John also serves as an elder. His faith, family and opportunity to serve others are a cornerstone of his own life and influences the culture at APEX as a company.
